The Guns

Just as shooting with an over and under shotgun is different from shooting with a side by side shotgun, shooting with a laser shotgun is different again. Shooters must aim directly at the target rather than leading or tailing the target, as lasers are not affected by wind or air resistance and are of course travelling at the speed of light, unlike lead shot. As with an activated double barrel shotgun, a laser shotgun will also give you two shots at the target, and up to five shooters can shoot at the same target at the same time, making this a competitive sport. We also like to practice good gun etiquette by not pointing laser guns at any people or cars, as while we know these are totally safe, these laser shotguns look like active shotguns and could cause a measure of distress in people being aimed at.

The Games

In Clayser Sports we are able to play four different games. Each game allows the shooter to score in different ways training concentration and a variety of shooting skills.

Depending on the level of experience of a group of shooters, we are able to manipulate the trap - shooting overhead birds (targets flying overhead), crossing birds, quartering birds or going-away birds - testing your limits in terms of concentration, speed and precision.

LASERSPORT.

The classic game in which all five players are able to score points, if they hit the target: A hit with the first barrel scores two points, and a hit with the second barrel scores one point, but only a total of two points can be scored per pull.

SPEEDSHOOT.

A fast and highly competitive game that tests a shooter's speed and precision. In thisgame only the FIRST player to hit the target scores two points, and no other player is able to score, though they will see from a green light on their shotgun sights if they have hit the target.

SKILLSHOOT.

Rewarding exceptional hand-eye coordination: In this game all five players can score off both barrels, if they hit the target. They will get two points for a hit with the first barrel, and one point for a hit with the second barrel. This time, if they hit with both barrels then they will be awarded three points.

RAPIDFIRE.

A favourite for high scores! In this game the first five shots to hit the target score, and both barrels can count. The first shot to hit the target scores five points. The second shot to hit scores four points. The third shot to hit scores three points The fourth shot to hit scores two  points. The fifth shot to hit scores one point.
